Celebrating Deakin Women - in pictures
All staff and students are invited to celebrate International Women’s Day at Deakin at morning teas on all campuses. The events will launch the next chapter of our Deakin Women project, a photography exhibition by Donna Squire and Kris Pechotsch highlighting Deakin women and their unique contributions to Deakin and their communities.
Come and view the images, hear the stories behind the images from some of the women featured, and enjoy morning tea and networking.
Gender equity at Deakin
The launch of the University’s Gender Equity Plan (2017–2020) in 2017 affirms Deakin’s aspiration to be Australia’s premier university in achieving equal representation, recognition, reward and value of staff irrespective of gender. Equity and Diversity is pleased to host this International Women’s Day event and we hope that you will come and support these women and all women from the Deakin community.
Register your attendance by booking a ticket for your campus.
